Full name: Pranitan Teeraprapa
Meaning: Pranitan means “determination”. I go by “Pete” to make it easier for people to remember. The name “Pete” comes from a mixture of the first letter of my first name and the first three letters of my last name. In Thailand, my friends called me “Pong” because I was really into ping pong for a while.
Hometown: Bangkok, Thailand
Current residence: I now live in Tampa, Florida. My place isn’t too far from where my sister Parichatra and her husband live.
Things you miss about Thailand: Street vendor food - some of the best hot food can be had for only a dollar!
Favorite Thai food: Everything!
Education: I earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, with a major in marketing.
Plans for the future: I would eventually like to offer search engine optimization services to Thai businesses, as we continue to develop the KongThai.com site and visit Thailand for merchandise sourcing.
